Our Purpose: The MVRRC is a professional, charitable organization of individuals genuinely concerned with the improvement of literacy programs and teaching procedures for people of all ages and abilities.
As an affiliate of the International Reading Association, we encourage and support the study of literacy at all educational levels.
As a regional council active at the local level, we initiate and sustain public service projects relevant to literacy in our communities.
Our Mission: to promote mutual understanding and cooperation among educators at all levels and to support charitable and educational programs (with 501C3 status).
Our Work: With our purpose and mission in mind, our meetings provide opportunities for members and guests to share knowledge, gain new knowledge through informative, current, and engaging presentations, participate in charitable project work, and outreach.
